Criminal Execution Law

The legal process of the convicted person does not end with the conclusion of the criminal trial; how the sentence is to be executed under Law No. 5275 on the Execution of Penalties and Security Measures is a separate and technical field. Probation, conditional release, special enforcement regimes such as weekend and night-time execution, postponement of the sentence, deferral of execution on grounds of illness and old age and objections to disciplinary sanctions are the main subjects of this area. Our office prepares applications to the enforcement judge and the courts, reviews enforcement calculations, files objections to release date certificates and protects the rights of convicted persons. The particular problems that arise in the execution of sentences for economic offences such as tax evasion are handled together with expertise in tax criminal law.
