PRACTICE AREAS
Tax Disputes
Tax law is a field with national and international dimensions that touches many other disciplines, and it therefore calls for specialised expertise. Assessments relating to income tax, corporate tax, value added tax, special consumption tax, stamp duty, real estate tax, inheritance and gift tax and all other taxes, tax loss and irregularity penalties, correction and complaint applications and disputes arising from returns filed under reservation are the main subjects of this area. Our office manages the process from the moment a tax audit begins; it evaluates administrative remedies such as pre-assessment and post-assessment settlement, penalty reductions and waiver of legal remedies; and where litigation is necessary it conducts the case before the tax courts, the regional administrative courts and the Council of State. Disguised profit distribution through transfer pricing, thin capitalisation, allegations of false invoices, taxpayer coding practices and disputes arising from VAT refunds are areas of particular focus. In every file academic knowledge and practical experience are used together; litigation strategy, evidence and expert examination planning, pleadings and defences are prepared within this framework.
