Sports Law

Sports law is a broad field extending from federation instructions to disciplinary proceedings, from athlete contracts to transfer and sponsorship relations, and from Arbitration Board and CAS proceedings to the taxation of sports clubs. Av. Doç. Dr. Serkan Ağar, who has served as deputy chair of the Amateur Football Disciplinary Board and rapporteur member of the Ethics Board of the Turkish Football Federation, has taught sports law at several universities and is the author of Sports Tax Law, provides legal support to clubs, athletes, coaches and federations on disciplinary, contractual and tax matters. The taxation of athlete remuneration, transfer fees, the deductibility of sponsorship expenses and tax audits of clubs are areas of particular focus.
